COVID-19 Cancellation Policy Adjustment

In light of recent events, Kalaloch Lodge is making a change to the way existing reservations have traditionally been handled. We will be temporarily offering refunds to current reservations without a cancellation fee. If you do cancel your current plans, we hope that you’ll consider joining us at a more convenient date this year.

The following terms and conditions of Kalaloch Lodge apply to your reservations. By making your reservations using our online reservation system, you understand, acknowledge, and agree to our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to cancel a reservation without notice if we become aware of or are notified of any fraud or illegal activity associated with this reservation. Availability can change at any time during the booking process. Your reservation is confirmed when you receive an e-mail confirmation.

  • Minimum Stay Requirements: We reserve the right to implement minimum stay requirements, which will be dictated by business levels and needs.
  • Rollaways/Cribs: Free of charge (but subject to availability)
  • Rates are based on single or double occupancy. Children age 12 and under do not affect the rate, but the rate will increase by $15 (not including package components) per additional person age 13 and older in the room.
  • Check-in 4 p.m., check-out 11 a.m. Late checkouts may be requested, but a $25 fee will be added if checking out after 11 a.m.

Pet Policy

Kalaloch Lodge is a pet-friendly property. We allow pets in any of our cabin units, but NOT in our Main Lodge or Seacrest House. A one-time, non-refundable fee of $25 per pet will be charged for designated pet rooms, for any dog, any size, max two per cabin.

Should we become aware that a pet is being kept in a non-pet-friendly room, the $25 per pet fee will be added to your reservation and you will be relocated to a pet-friendly room.

Smoking Policy

All guestrooms at Kalaloch Lodge, including Main Lodge rooms, Seacrest House rooms, and all cabins, are designated non-smoking rooms. A $300 cleaning fee will be charged for smoking in any Kalaloch Lodge guest room or cabin.


All reservations require payment of the first night rate (including tax) as a deposit at the time of reservation. Some packages and special events require full payment at the time you make your reservations. Daily rates do not include applicable state and county taxes or charges for any other services.

Child ages:
  • 12 years and under: no charge
  • 13 years and older: we charge an extra $15 per day

Tax Rates

The tax rate applied to Kalaloch Lodge reservations is 6.5% State Tax, 2.5% Local Tax, 2% Occupancy, and .84% Utility Surcharge.

Washington's National Park Fund Donation

Washington's National Park Fund is a 502(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves as the official fund-raising partner for Olympic National Park, Mount Rainier National Park, and North Cascades National Park. As part of our commitment to preserving and protecting the natural environment in general, and Olympic National Park in particular, there is a voluntary $3 donation included in all Kalaloch Lodge reservations.

This donation is purely optional and can be declined, but we encourage you to join us in supporting this outstanding nonprofit organization and ensure the preservation of our beloved Olympic National Park for future generations.

Special Requests

Special requests, when allowed at our sole discretion, are noted and maintained in the reservation system; however, we cannot guarantee any specific rooms or locations you request.

Third Party Reservation/Credit Card User - If you are making reservations on behalf of another person ("credit card holder"), you can make the following representations and warranties and further agree to comply with the terms and conditions stated below: (1) You have obtained legal authorization from the credit card holder to make reservations on behalf of the credit card holder, to pay all advanced deposit charge(s) using the credit card holder's credit card, and agree to our terms and conditions on the credit card holder's behalf and thereby bind credit card holder to our terms and conditions; (2) The Guest Information you have provided above, e.g., name, phone number, and address, is that of the credit card holder; (3) You have advised the credit card holder that we do not impose any third-party booking charges and we will accept reservations directly from the credit card holder; and (4) You will inform the credit card holder of all our Terms and Conditions, and provide the credit card holder with reservation confirmation(s) and any other information or correspondence pertaining to the credit card holder's reservations.

Cancellation Policy

Requests for cancellation or changes may be made by calling our Central Reservation Office at 866-662-9928

We must receive requests for cancellation of your reservations 72 hours or more prior to your scheduled arrival date for a refund of your deposit (refunds will be processed within two weeks of cancellation). "No-shows" will be charged the contracted nightly rate for each night the reserved room is not occupied by the individual, up to and including the entire length of stay.

  • Cancel Policy: 72 hours
  • Cancel Fee: $25 if canceled 72 hours or more prior to arrival; cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will result in forfeiture of the first night's deposit
  • Non-refundable rates available. These rates are yielded out and are not changeable and non-refundable

We strictly enforce our cancellation policy and do not allow any exceptions.

Fire Circle

IMPORTANT: Fire cannot be left unattended at any time, and must be fully extinguished before leaving.

Q: Is firewood provided at the fire circle?
A: Firewood is not currently provided at the fire circle, but guests are welcome to bring firewood from their cabins and/or purchase firewood from our Mercantile.

Q: Is cooking allowed over the fire?
A: Yes! Guests are permitted to roast marshmallows for S'mores or roast hot dogs. Both are available for purchase on property.

Q: What are the hours of operation for the fire circle?
A: There are no official hours of operation for the fire circle, but we kindly ask that guests observe quiet time beginning at 10 p.m. so as not to disturb other guests.
